Two weeks ago, PACT travelled to Ideas Fest at Champneys Tring for the national final of the UK StartUp Awards, and we came home with the Business to Business StartUp of the Year award.

The final brought together founders from across the country, and the B2B category was packed with impressive businesses, so hearing PACT’s name called out was one of the proudest moments in PACT’s story so far.

Small focus, national recognition

PACT started in 2023 with a simple belief: universities and colleges deserve independent, sector-specialist support from people who truly know the sector. A lot of what we do is help senior teams answer the hard questions early, so that when a major programme starts, it starts on solid ground.

We work with institutions across the UK, which means we spend our days thinking about student records, data and how everything fits together. Being recognised on a national stage, against businesses from every sector, suggests that depth of focus is valued well beyond higher education.

Credit where it is due

This award reflects the trust of the universities and colleges who chose to work with a young consultancy and backed us from the start. It’s also a huge well done to the PACT team, whose hard work and care are behind every project we deliver.

Our thanks go to the UK StartUp Awards and the Ideas Fest organisers for a brilliant event, and to everyone we met during the final. The conversations with other founders were as valuable as the result.

What comes next

We will keep doing the work that earned this recognition: giving institutional leaders the independent insight and confidence they need to make the right decisions for their students, staff and future.
