Two-phase programme to accelerate data, integration and organisational readiness for a new Student Management System 

Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) has appointed PACT Solutions Ltd as its Strategic Transformation Partner following a competitive procurement via the CCS Automation Marketplace DPS (RM6173). 

 

The partnership initiates a critical programme of work to prepare the University for large-scale digital transformation across the student journey. This initiative forms a core element of BNU’s Nexus Programme and underpins the University’s long-term digital strategy. 

 

Under the contract, PACT Solutions is leading a two-phase programme to deliver substantial improvements in data quality, systems integration and student lifecycle processes. Phase 1, now complete, delivered discovery and planning outcomes including: a full data maturity assessment using DMBOK principles; an Integration Roadmap to transition from legacy point-to-point interfaces to API- and event-driven cloud integration services; and a robust business case for replacing the current Student Management System. 

 

Phase 2 focuses on fully preparing the organisation for a new Student Management System. Work includes strengthening Enterprise Architecture, establishing programme governance and readiness, and delivering structured Change Management. In parallel, PACT will implement enhanced Data Management capabilities and build high-value integrations on Microsoft Azure to improve reliability, reduce technical debt and create reusable foundations for future services.
