Pete’s background spans technology roles that sit at the heart of the student journey. His core strengths are solution and integration architecture, product management and agile delivery, with a particular focus on student record systems. At PACT Solutions Ltd, Pete leads technical delivery. He works with partner IT teams and suppliers to shape pragmatic architectures, define integration patterns, and ensure solutions are secure, supportable and fit for purpose. He has a strong interest in cloud integration and how universities can move away from fragile point-to-point interfaces toward standardised APIs and event-driven integration. Pete brings a “build it right, then make it repeatable” mindset. He is hands-on in establishing delivery standards such as environments, release disciplines, technical assurance, and clear documentation, so teams can move quickly without increasing operational risk. He enjoys turning ambiguity into clear options, making sensible trade-offs, and helping teams stay aligned on outcomes. Pete’s working style is collaborative and low-ego: listen first, challenge assumptions when needed, and keep decisions grounded in evidence. He cares about leaving partners stronger than he found them, by transferring knowledge and building capability alongside delivery. He is motivated by practical improvements that reduce friction for staff, improve data quality, and give students a smoother experience.
